Get in on the youth action at Bethany!

Here's what's coming up:

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL THANK YOU.  Vacation Bible School went very well and we had a lot of fun.  A huge thank you to all of the volunteers-Lori O'Dell, Lis Schroeder, Molly & Jeri Shultis, Blanche Dallman, Pastor Steinbrecher, Cheryl Fenner and Christine Wiese.  In the Bible points station, the kids learned all about Joseph's life and important lessons such as God is hope, God gives us special abilities and God is family and forgiveness.  In our craft station, the kids made bread baskets, painted a sarcophogus, decorated a "Cairo collar", created some sand art and made a blanket to give away to someone in need.  The game station had kids hula hooping "food", wrapping mummies and playing a mummy version of Duck, Duck, Goose.  Snack time brought celery and apple bugs, hot dog mummies and dirt cake...it was delicious!  Thank you again for a successful Vacation Bible School. --Becky Colwell

WHAT ARE YOU DOING JULY 2012?  Are you in 6th grade or higher (including all of you who were in 6th grade years ago)?  Come to New Orleans July 18-22, 2012 for the next Youth Gathering.  Why New Orleans again?  Because New Orleans has more to teach us about fresh starts made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  New Orleans has more to teach us about generosity and about how to be good neighbors.  New Orleans has more to teach us about the house that God is building.  The road to New Orleans starts today.
