Get in on the youth action at Bethany!

Here's what's coming up:

FO.GA.MO MOVIE NIGHT!  This month for Fo.Ga.Mo. we are gathering to watch the movie, "Secondhand Lions!"  Please join us on Sunday, February 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for the movie and a potluck meal.  No need to sign up, just come!  Everyone is welcome!

CHILI SUPPER.  Our youth will again be serving a chili supper on Ash Wednesday, February 22, starting at 5 p.m.  The menu includes chili, fruit salad, rolls, cheese, crackers, chips, brownies/cake, milk and coffee.  The cost for this event will be adults - $6, children ages 5 - 12 $3, and children under 4 are free.  All proceeds will go to support youth trips.

CONFIRMATION LOCK-IN.  Confirmation students - it's finally your turn for your own lock-in!  We will be hanging out all-night at church beginning Friday, February 24, at 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 25.  Come join us for ten hours of no sleep, worship, Nintendo Wii games, food, caffeine and no sleep!  Sign up on the Youth Bulletin Board if you plan to attend.  Friends are always welcome, just sign them up as well!  Bring a snack to share, comfy clothes and a pillow/blanket in case you decide to catch a few winks of sleep.  Please leave your cell phones at home!  If you are an adult who would like to spend a few hours with these caffeinated students in the middle of the night, please sign up on the kiosk for a block of time.  We also need people to serve meals at midnight and in the morning.

YOUTH QUAKE/ZONE MEETING.  On Wednesday, February 29, all students participating in the Dells Quake/Zone on March 9 - 11, will be gathering for a short meeting after the Lenten service is done.  We ask that at least one parent is also present.  Please let Elise know if you cannot attend this meeting.

YOUTH QUAKE/ZONE FOOD DONATIONS. It is that time of year again when the youth are getting geared up to head to the Dells for the Quake/Zone for a weekend of worship, speakers, dancing, fun and Jesus!  We need your help to keep costs down for this event.  If you are able to donate food for the weekend, please sign up on our donation list on the kiosk.  Put any donated items in the donation box or refrigerator by Wednesday, March 7.  Thanks for your suppport!

SUGAR CREEK SUMMER PREVIEW!  Attention students in grades 3rd through 5th.  Can't wait to go to camp this summer?  Then come a few months early for a summer preview the weekend of April 21 - 22.  We will meet at Bethany at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, and will return around 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.  The cost is $40, which covers food and housing.  Sign up on the Youth Bulletin Board by April 1.

KLEIN RANCH SERVICE TRIP. This summer students in grades 9 - 12 are invited to head to Klein Ranch in South Dakota!  The trip is planned for July 13 - 21.  Klein Ranch is an amazing working ranch camp that has horses, calves, lambs, rabbits, pigs and goats!  You will get the chance to ride everyday around the rolling hills of the Standing Rock Reservation, take care of the animals, hike in the mini-badlands and worship in an old stone Native American Church.  This trip won't be all about horses.  On our way to Klein, we will be spending a day doing service work in Pierre, South Dakota where flood waters overtook much of the area this past summer.  More information will be available on what we will be doing as we get closer to the date.  If you want to join us on this trip, please turn in a $100 non-refundable deposit as soon as possible!  For more information about Klein check out their website at http://www.losd.org/klein/!

**If you have questions on any of these programs, contact Elise at Bethany or check out the Youth Bulletin Board in the Fellowship Hall for updated information on all programs and events!  Become a fan of "Bethany Youth & Family" on Facebook for even quicker updates!
