Here's what's coming up:
WHAT ARE YOU DOING JULY 2012? Are you in 6th grade or higher (including all of you who were in 6th grade years ago)? Come to New Orleans July 18-22, 2012 for the next Youth Gathering. Why New Orleans again? Because New Orleans has more to teach us about fresh starts made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. New Orleans has more to teach us about generosity and about how to be good neighbors. New Orleans has more to teach us about the house that God is building. The road to New Orleans starts today.
THANK YOU. A big thank you to everyone who donated food for Youth Quake. We couldn't go to Youth Quake without you. You can be proud of our students. They were up front participating, were well behaved, and are applying what they learned in their lives.
ENDOWMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIP FORMS NOW AVAILABLE. The Bethany Endowment Fund is again offering three $250 scholarships to any student attending college, technical or vocational college, or ELCA seminary. Applications are available in the church office. The deadline for applications is May 1. The selected individuals will be announced by May 31, 2010.
SUGAR CREEK REGISTRATION FORMS ARE HERE. The Sugar Creek Bible Camp 2010 registration forms are here, and you can pick one up from the brochure rack in the narthex. WAYS FOR TEENS TO VOLUNTEER. Looking for ways to lend a hand? The local Food Pantry can use your help unloading trucks and stocking shelves. Your efforts can make a difference in our community!
